Your privacy, plainly

RentTrends is built to need as little of your data as possible. No accounts, no advertising, no cross-site tracking.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you, by default. You can browse every page without signing in or being tracked across sites.
“Check your rent” stays on your device. The rent, suburb and property details you enter are used in your browser to place you against the published figures. They are never sent to us or stored on a server.
Saved suburbs, recently viewed and your theme choice are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. Clear your browser data and they’re gone.
Standard server logs. Like any website, our host may record basic request information (such as IP address and the page requested) to run and secure the site. These are not used to profile you.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage, which pages are popular, rough region, device type, so we can improve the site. It sets analytics cookies in your browser, and IP addresses are anonymised. We don’t use it for advertising, remarketing or cross-site profiling.
We don’t set advertising cookies, and we don’t sell any data.
You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, your browser’s cookie controls, or a tracker-blocking extension, none of which affects the figures you see.
Fonts load from Bunny Fonts, a privacy-first font host that does not log or track visitors.

When you use the contact form, the name, email and message you provide are emailed to us so we can reply. We use them only to respond to you, and don’t add you to any list.

If you choose to leave your email in the “Stay in the loop” box, we store your email address and the date you signed up so we can email you the occasional update about new data and features. That’s the only reason we hold it.
We don’t share or sell it, and we won’t use it for anything else. Any update we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time — just get in touch.
